In a bid to promote solidarity among Muslims and Non-Muslims, the Young Progressives Party in Kwara State has organized iftar programme for stakeholders of the party in the state and local governments.
The programme which also featured prayer session for peace and the enthronement of good leadership in the State and the country at large, was held at the party’s secretariat located at flower garden GRA Ilorin.
This much contained in a press release signed by the Publicity Secretary of the Party, Sulyman Abdulrazaq a virtual copy of which was made available to this medium in Ilorin.
The release reads “The State Chairman of the Party Mr Charles Olufemi Folayan who attended the iftar programme in solidarity with Muslim members, urged Muslim faithful to use this period to seek forgiveness from Allah and pray for peace and unity during this trying time in the country. He said, various happenings in the country demands the prayers of citizens. He also called on the youth to prepare for a take over through democratic means in 2023. He said the country’s problem can not be solved through analogue approaches at this digital age.
“The situation in our state and the country today demand for our prayers. It has become obvious that our country’s problems can not be solved with analogue approach, hence, the need for us the youth to brace up for a takeover through the ballot revolution in 2023.
“One of the party stakeholder in Ilorin west local government, Malam Muyiden Oyan who led prayer for peace and the enthronement of credible leadership in Kwara State and Nigeria, said only Allah can intervene in every situation beyond human. He urged all Muslim faithful to use the period of Ramadan to seek the face of Allah for peace and development in Nigeria” it added
