Why I empowered my supporters with #18m -Saliu Mustapha

A leading National Chairmanship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, Mal. Saliu Mustapha has shed more light on the rationale behind his doling out more than #30m as nonrefundable empowerment to some of his supporters in Ilorin during Sallah festivities.

The Ilorin born politician of national repute who was speaking at the public presentation of cheques to the beneficiaries who received varying categories of financial empowerment, with the peak being #2,000,000 and lowest being #500,000.

Mustapha, while presenting the cheques to the beneficiaries at his Ilorin office, enjoined the beneficiaries to ensure the money is used for businesses as intended, stressing that his intention to help create more entrepreneurs in Kwara in order to boost the economy of the State.

He said “The empowerment programme is to create more entrepreneurs in order to boost the state economy. I want the beneficiaries to use the fund to grow their businesses and help others in future.
“I pray that the Almighty Allah will shower His blessings on their businesses. I commended the consultant that trained the beneficiaries on leadership and entrepreneurship skills for doing a thorough job. I believe it will be handy for the beneficiaries” he added
The long term ally of President Muhammadu Buhari also used the opportunity to thank his loyalists for their unrelenting support and commitment towards APC ideals.
