Twelve Kwarans Get Federal Appointments

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of no fewer than twelve (12) individuals from Kwara State to various federal institutions.

According to a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, General Services Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, on behalf of the SGF, at least five (5) Kwarans were appointed by President Tinubu as Board Chairman of Federal Institutions across the country.

Kwarans appointed to serve as Governing Council Chairmen in the reviewed list include a former Vice Chancellor of University of Ilorin who recently served as Chairman of establishment committee for Kwara state University of Education- Prof. Shuaib Oba Abdulraheem; former Clerk of the Kwara state House of Assembly- Hajia Halima Jumai Kperogi; former Special Adviser to Gov. AbdulRazaq on Health and SDP Kwara South Senatorial candidate- Prof. Wale Suleiman, Hon. Yusuf Ademola Ganiat and Abubakar Sadiq Usman.

While was appointed to chair the board of Federal University, Dutse, Jigawa State, Mrs. Kperogi was appointed as Chair of Hussaini Adamu Federal Polytechnic, Kazaure, Jigawa State’s board. Prof. Olawale Sulaiman emerged as board Chairman, Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila Orangun, Osun State, while

Hon. Yusuf Ademola Ganiat was appointed as board Chairman, Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo State and Abubakar Sadiq Usman as Chairman, Federal Polytechnic, N’yak, Plateau State.

Other appointed include former SDP House of Representative candidate – Abdulganiyu Zubair Ganzy as member, Federal Polytechnic, Offa; Alhaji Sule Abbas as member, Federal University of Transportation, Daura, Katsina State; Tajudeen Abioye as member, Federal Polytechnic Mubi, Adamawa State; Mallam Yahaya Zulkarmaini as member, Federal Polytechnic, Ukan, Akwa Ibom State; Rt. Hon. Bola Badmus Olujobi as member, Federal University, Wukari, Taraba State; Barr. Bamidele Aluko as member and Mrs. Lucky Tsowa as member, Federal University of Technology, Ikot-Abasi, Akwa Ibom, respectively.

The appointments, which cut across various federal institutions, are seen as a testament to the President’s commitment to harnessing the expertise of Kwarans in driving national development.
