In a move that is set to redefine the political landscape of Kwara State, renowned youths/students leader and grassroots mobilizer, Tajudeen Habeeb popularly known as Tallest, has officially joined the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Tallest who was recently elected as the Publicity Secretary of Kwara state Polytechnic Worldwide Alumni Association, is a former Chairman of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Kwara axis and Financial Secretary of Students’ Union Government of Kwara state polytechnic, with significant influence among youths and students populace.
In a statement made available to Fresh Insight on today, Tallest announced his decision to join the APC, citing his desire to contribute meaningfully to the development of Kwara State and Nigeria at large.
“As we usher in the year 2025, I am excited to share with you a significant development in my political journey,” Tallest said. “For nearly two decades, I have been a committed advocate for personality-driven politics, supporting candidates from various parties who share my vision for a better Kwara and Nigeria.”
Tallest stated that his decision to join the APC was driven by the party’s commitment to democracy and good governance. He expressed his admiration for the leadership style of the Governor of Kwara State, His Excellency, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON, and pledged to work tirelessly to promote the party’s goals and objectives.
“My decision to join the APC is driven by my desire to contribute meaningfully to the development of my state and the nation at large,” Tallest said. “I am drawn to the party’s commitment to democracy and good governance. I am excited about the prospect of working with like-minded individuals who share my passion for creating a better Kwara and Nigeria.”
As he begins this new chapter in his political journey, Tallest acknowledged that his membership is subject to the party’s constitution and guidelines. He announced that he would be visiting his political ward (Adewole) in due course to formalize his registration as a member of the party.
Tallest called on his supporters and well-wishers to understand and support his decision, emphasizing that his commitment to developmental politics remains unwavering. “For me, it’s all about developmental politics, and we shall strive to make it a reality,” he said. “As I embark on this important journey, I hereby seek your understanding and support.”
