Rising by lifting others; the Saraki example

We Rise By Lifting Other

By Abdulrahman Kayode

People call me Great Kay but I always say Allah is the Greatest. The ‘greatness’ ascribed to me is only attributed to Allah, the Almighty. In this journey of life, I thank Allah for His unending blessings on me and for letting the people appreciate the ‘greatness’ in me.

I am a staunch and unrepentant follower of the Waziri of Ilorin and the Architect of Modern Kwara whose monumental and visionary achievements in the state, can not be erased but repainted or rehabilitated as it is obtainable in the Kwara of today, His Excellency, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki. I am always proud to be, owing to the fact that Saraki’s political phenomenon is organic and goes beyond media competition.

As a strong believer in the saying ‘we rise by lifting others’, I find joy in helping other people and supporting them to grow. It’s indeed a special privilege that God has been using me as a point of blessing to others.

And on this path, several people have been strong pillars of support for me as well, and worthy of mention are my leader, His Excellency, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki and his adorable wife, Her Excellency, Barr Toyin Ojora-Saraki.

Through this beautiful couple, I’ve been able to get federal and state government jobs for people, engage people with technical knowhow for engineering related works, provide empowerment for many others, and much more.

Unlike what’s obtainable in other political camps where even those referred to as “ELECTION LABORERS,” who were personally known to their leaders have become “SAD TOWN CRIERS”; one does not have to know Saraki personally before one can benefit from his human capacity development programmes and kind gestures. Testimonies abound within and outside Kwara.

Also, through the Constituency Office of Dr Bukola Saraki, I was able to facilitate development projects like roads, motorized boreholes, classrooms, solar streetlights, electric transformers, instructional materials & school laboratory equipment and so on to not only my immediate community but also other communities in Kwara.

It is also worthy to note that, unknown to many, Barrister Toyin Ojora-Saraki, in and out of office, has through her globally respected non-governmental organization, The Wellbeing Foundation Africa, facilitated a number of health initiative and developmental support programs in Kwara and in other parts of the country.

Are Kwarans even aware of an underused state-of-the-art hospital that is worth hundreds of millions, which she facilitated for the good people of Kwara state through her global partners in Eruku town of Ekiti local government of the state?

Her Excellency, Barr. Toyin Saraki, the Founder/President of The Wellbeing Foundation Africa and Global Goodwill Ambassador for the International Confederation of Midwives, has still not stopped in medical supports and facilitations for Kwara, Nigeria and Africa in general.
