Abdulsomad Olota
It is a terrible moment to be a Kwaran. Trust me, nothing can be more frustrating than listening to a recorded interview of our Governor, excited and hopeful despite consistent disappointment that he will perhaps say something meaningful and dignifying of his office for once.
That hope was binned today, highly unfortunate for us as a people. How can my Governor say that he borrowed 27 Billion Naira since last year, while 10 Billion has been expended on “some on going projects”, 17 Billion is reportedly breathing in an unknown bank? A loan that we are servicing every month is in a bank? What type of funny economics is this?
You may equally wish to recall that President Buhari facilitated loan of 18.2bn for all the states except Anambra that didn’t take it and our Governor made no mention of it. Instead, he went on to allege that major state’s assets have been used to obtain loan six months to elections in the State? He alleged that 1.5 Billion was borrowed via Aviation School, whereas, facts revealed that it was 150 million naira. Even University of Ilorin borrowed 600 million recently for their sugar farm. The Governor didn’t disclose what the alleged borrowed money was budgeted for, he only alleged in his usual mischievous nature.
Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq is exceptionally dull. In fact, there is no bar of cluelessness that has not been broken. Does it not hurt us as a people to finally come to a conclusion that President Muhammadu Buhari dubbed as Nigeria’s most clueless leader is far better than Governor AA in intellectuality. Why does Governor AA use every slight opportunity to prove to us as Kwarans that there is sub-basement in incompetence and cluelessness like he embarked on today?
Data boys acknowledgement as defenders of democracy is shameful, highly shameful. Not even a Student Union level could make such careless statement. The most painful thing is that people outside Kwara must not lay their hands on the pre-recorded audio, why is he afraid of a live interview? It will really be painful for me to sit at a tea joint in Kaduna and that audio is being played to mock us as Kwaran people. It will be tough to survive that, it is the height of public disgrace since 1999 in Kwara.
What funny side of economics is my Governor operating that 17 Billion of a grant is breathing in a bank? It means there was no clear reason or purpose to have borrowed the 27bn in the first instance. The renovation of Cargo terminal to today Garment factory – that close to 2 Billion was expended on from our borrowed money is cited in Ilorin. AA in his usual manner is trying to bribe Ilorin people despite knowing that the raw materials for the industry will come from Baruten; and I wonder why the Speaker that came from Baruten couldn’t borrow His Excellency little initiative, the point of sale is equally through Baruten, why site the factory in Ilorin?
“Ramonomics” is the most clueless economic design of all time. None, whether in stone, bronze, iron age, medieval or modern world would you find a ridiculous economic blueprint as that of Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq. How can someone be bold enough to make such declarations to his people? Henceforth, I advise AA to at least organise his data boys, prep with them before granting any interview, even though always pre-recorded. President Muhammadu Buhari has managed to grant live interview even during the tensed period of the #EndSARS protest, Governor AA has granted none!
If anyone gets inspired by Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, the person needs more than deliverance and prayers. He said only Overland was at our Airport when he became as Governor, whereas there was Arik and Medview too. What is even more funny is that he took credit for Airpeace and Green Africa’s presence in the State, whereas they have branches everywhere, not only in Kwara. AA in his generosity must have appealed to them to open branches in other states too. In fact, if Santorini Restaurant, Next Supermarket, Chinese Restaurant, Rockview Classic Hotel, Fraiser Suites, Drumstix among others open branch today in Kwara, it is due to “Ramonomics”, what a jester!
Lol, even Buni of Yobe, who is a “fellow Comrade” of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq in incompetence and administrative failure, despite relative education, at least is more educated than Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq doesn’t have the boldness to say such things.
What a Sabinus interview! Governor Seyi Makinde is an engineer, not drop out like AA, so he is bound to think of long term benefits. Seyi Makinde has eyes for quality, unlike Gov. AA who sees profit and business in everything.
