The National Executive Omo Ibile Igbomina under the leadership of Elder GY Jimoh have appealed to Governor AbdulRahman Abdulrazak to urgently give attention to security and infrastructure challenges facing various communities across Igbomina land.
While raising matters of public concern during Friday 23rd June,2023. The National Executive in their separate remarks, said giving urgent attention to the separate issues would be in the best interest of the people of the state.
The National Executive urged the governor, , to direct security agencies, to beef up security at the various Villages in Igbomina land, noting that the call became imperative following a strange occurrence in the village few weeks ago,and the recent occurrence at Oko Irese, Irepodun local government Sabaja in Isin local government and Oro Ago in Ifelodun local government area of the state.
In a statement by the National Publicity Secretary, Comr. Aiyedun Hammed, the organization disclosed that, Kidnappers struck the petrol station at Iwo, made away with the manager, the guard and a CAC pastor at Iwo, Isin Local Government. A high chief from Sabaja was shut dead in the process.
He noted that there was a need for security agencies to comb the forest to ensure some criminally-minded elements are not lurking or hiding in the community.
He expressed apprehension over the safety of the people of Igbomina land, Ifelodun, Irepodun and isin Local Government Area of the State. adding that urgent action from security agencies is required to avoid having bandits, kidnappers and terrorists in Igbomina land.
