The Kwara State Police command via its Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ejire Adetoun Adeyemi has affirmed that, a manhunt has been launched for the the fleeing suspected criminals, stressing that normalcy have been returned to the town.

Adetoun while speaking exclusively with Fresh Insight said “The suspects came with the intent of robbing the POS operator, they carted away undisclosed amount of money.

“A combined team of Policemen and local hunters laid ambush for the invaders, they engaged in gunfight and one of the criminals was gunned down, while a woman was unfortunately caught by stray bullet.

“2 other community  members who sustained injuries were rushed to Specialist Hospital, Oke-Ode and they’re in stable condition.

“We’ve launched a manhunt for the fleeing criminals. We’ve also restored normalcy to the town” she concluded.
