Kidney: NGO raises concerns, to embark on awareness tour of Kwara State

Barring any last minute changes, A Non-Governmental Organisation, Lifesaver’s Initiative has concluded arrangements to embark on Kidney and Liver diseases awareness campaign across the 16 local Government Areas of Kwara State.

This much was disclosed to Fresh Insight in a brief chat by the founder of the Organisation Yusuf Salihu, bemoaning the high prevalence of Kwarans soliciting for funds to get transplant, stressing that Kwarans must learn how to pamper their organs, especially the vital ones.

“Lifesaver’s Initiative is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness about liver and kidney failure in Kwara State.

“It’s so sad to see the pictures of loved ones on social media platforms begging for money for kidney transplant.

“The goal of the program is to reduce the prevalence of kidney and liver diseases in Kwara State by raising awareness of the risks and consequences of these diseases and promoting preventive measures.

“We strive to reduce the number of cases of liver and kidney failure through education, advocacy, and support services.

“Our goal is to empower individuals to take control of their health and to make informed decisions about their care. We are committed to providing access to resources and support for those affected by liver and kidney failure. Join us in our mission to save lives and improve the quality of life for those affected by this devastating condition.

“Starting from October 25th, we’ll be taking the awareness campaign to nooks and crannies of all the 16LGAs in Kwara State” he added
