LG Polls: KWSIEC moves deadline for party primaries to Thursday 4th of July 2024

The Kwara state Independent Electoral Commission (KWSIEC) has announced the shift in the deadline for party primaries to Thursday 4th of July 2024.

According to a statement by the Commission Chairman, Okanla Baba on Wednesday, the movement in the date is in deference to appeals by different political parties for more time to conclude their primaries

The statement reads, “In deference to appeals by different political parties for more time for their primaries, the Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission hereby extends the deadline for the exercise to Thursday, July 4, 2024.

“The initial deadline was Sunday, June 30, 2024.

“Further adjustments to other activities, if any, will be communicated to the public as may become necessary”, the statement added
