KWSIEC Presents Certificates of Return to Elected Chairmen

The Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission (KWSIEC) has presented certificates of return to the newly elected chairmen of the 16 local government areas in the state.

KWSIEC Chairman,Baba Okanla, congratulated the winners, in his words, “I sincerely express our gratitude for your maximum cooperation during the electioneering process by playing the rules of the game. Your conducts and maximum understanding has yielded the results we witnessed and this has made the election to be free and fair to all the participants.”

“I congratulate all the winners and I encourage you all to return back the trust reposed on you by the people by delivering the dividends of democracy to the people at the grass roots level.”

The chairman commended the peaceful conduct of the people during the elections, noting, “We commend political parties for their commitment to a peaceful election, which did not record any major casualty and the people of Kwara State for trooping out en masse to exercise their civic rights.”
