The Kwara State Polytechnic Worldwide Alumni Association has announced that it will hold its national congress on September 14, 2024.
The Congress, which is expected to draw alumni members from far and wide, will focus on rendering stewardship account of the pro-tem executive committee and constituting an electoral committee to oversee the association’s forthcoming electoral processes.
According to the association’s pro-tem Publicity Secretary, AbdulRahman Mohammed, “At the forthcoming national congress of our great Alumni Association, the pro-tem executive committee ably led by Engr. Abu Salami will render its stewardship account over the past months, to demonstrate our commitment to a transparency and accountability in the discharge of our responsibilities.
“The electoral committee to be set up on the other hand, will play a crucial role in ensuring transparency and fairness in the Kwarapoly Alumni elections, and its constitution is a significant step towards strengthening the association’s democratic processes.
AbdulRahman noted that “The congress will also provide an opportunity for alumni members to discuss pressing issues, share ideas, and make key decisions about the association’s future.”
The congress is scheduled to hold on September 14, 2024,by 10am prompt, at Admiral Mohammed Lawal Auditorium, within Kwara state Polytechnic’s premises, and all alumni members are encouraged to register on the alumni website at www.kwarapolyalumni.org, to make them elegible to participate in the whole process and to ensure a more inclusive and democratic alumni association.
