Kwara Speaker mourns as 12th Balogun Ajikobi passes away

The Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu is saddened by the news of the demise of Alhaji Isiaka Yusuf Okunrin jeje, the 12 Balogun Ajikobi of Ilorin Emirate.

Rt. Hon. Engr. Danladi-Salihu in a statement issued on Sunday described the late Balogun Ajikobi as a community leader of refreshing candour whose death has created a vacuum in the community.

The Speaker sympathizes with the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, the Ajikobi family, the Ilorin Emirate Traditional Council, and the entire kwarans on this sad development.

“On behalf of the Kwara State House of Assembly, I commiserate our father the Emir of Ilorin on the loss of one of his High Chief, the Ajikobi family, and everyone on the passing of Alhaji Okunrin jeje, may Allah forgive all his shortcomings, admit him into Aljanat Fridaos and grant us the fortitude to bear this painful loss”.

Late Alhaji Isiaka Yusuf Okunrin Jeje, was appointed as the 12th Balogun Ajikobi by the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari in the year 2019.
