Kwara Speaker assure constituents of more government presence
By Imam Moromoke
Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu has assured the people of Subayo and Baruten local government of more government presence, while charging them to continue to support and cooperate with the Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq administration.
Danladi-Salihu made this call while receiving new entrants who defected from the opposition People’s Democratic Party, PDP to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC in Subayo, Sinau/Tumbuya ward of Baruten local government, an action described by the lawmaker as ‘a bold move’ by the decampees, considering the fact that Subayo is the strong hold of the opposition party in Baruten.
Danladi-Salihu said, “I am delighted to welcome you all into our party, APC, it is indeed a thing of joy. I must also commend your boldness to ditch the PDP for the ruling party despite the fact Subayo is a stronghold of the PDP where Baruten Chairman of the party came from”.
“I assured you that you will not regret joining our party. In no distant time, I am going to carry out comprehensive renovation of Subayo Primary School and equipment of Subayo Primary Healthcare Centre while we will also ensure that our qualified youths are taken care of in the next recruitment exercise of the state government among many other things the present administration has in stock for you”
Speaking on behalf of the decampees, Mohammed Haruna explained that the whole of Subayo community which before now was a stronghold of the PDP wholeheartedly and wilfully decided to decamp to the APC having been impressed by the good work of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.
Mallam Haruna assured the Speaker of their unflinching loyalty and support to the government of Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq in his quest to continue to deliver good governance and dividends of democracy to the people of Kwara state.
