The PDP’s House of Assembly candidate for Edu Constituency in the 2023 general elections, Hon. Samuel Audu Fedundangi, has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), effective January 2, 2025.

In a formal letter addressed to the Ward Chairman of the PDP in Tsaragi Ward III, Edu Local Government, Kwara State, Hon. Fedundangi stated that his decision to resign was not driven by dissatisfaction or discontent, but rather a desire to pursue a path that better reflects his personal convictions and aspirations for serving his immediate community.
The letter, dated January 2, 2025, reads in part, “This decision comes after careful reflection on my personal values, beliefs and the direction I wish to take going forward in my political journey. My membership of the PDP has been a significant chapter of my life and I deeply appreciate the opportunities I have had, the friendships I have created and the experiences that have shaped my understanding of party politics, for all this and more I am deeply grateful.”
Hon. Fedundangi, also known as EMI NDAZHITSU FEDUNDANGI, expressed his commitment to the principles of democracy, justice and the well-being of the people, which have always guided his political endeavors.
He also took the opportunity to express his gratitude to the party leadership, colleagues and supporters who have encouraged and supported him throughout his time in the PDP.
