The Kwara State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) is delighted with the recent report Published by the Progressive Governor’s Forum (PGF) Magazine which rated your administration first on the table of developmental strides recorded across States governed by All Progressive Congress (APC) for March 2021.
This much was contained in a congratulatory letter written to the Governor, dated 26th April, 2021 and jointly signed by the council’s Chairman and Secretary, Umar Abdulwahab and Dcn. Omotayo Ayanda respectively.
The letter reads “We are convinced that this feat attained by this current administration in Kwara State for the second time in recent times is not a fallacy but a confirmation of the developmental indices which the Union can also attest to.
“That Kwara secured 19 strides to emerge best across the APC State further attest to the changing narratives of governance in Kwara State.
“We urge you not to relent in your efforts to transform the State even in the face of daunting challenges.
“Your Excellency, we know that attaining such feats does not come easy especially, in a political environment where different interests may want to serve as clogs in the wheels of such progress but that Your Excellency muster the courage to entrench standard best practices in governance in Kwara State, worth commendation.
“The Kwara NUJ is also happy to hear that the entries for this edition witnessed more improvements as regards developmental strides from the forum states in 2021.
“We therefore Congratulate you on Kwara”s superlative ranking among its peers. This no doubt again underscore your administration’s the commitments to uplifting the lives of the people of the State” it added
