Kwara North has fulfilled righteousness to Kwara Central overtime, deserves support – Kwara Central Elders

The Concerned Kwara Central Elders Forum, comprising notable grassroots political leaders from the four local government areas of Kwara Central, has reaffirmed its support for Kwara North to produce the next governor of the state. This position was reiterated during a courtesy visit by delegation of the Kwara North Youth Consultative Forum (KNYCF), who expressed gratitude for the elders’ bold stance on equity, justice and fairness.

The Vice Chairperson of the Kwara North Youth Consultative Forum, Mallama Bilkis Ladi Yakub who led the delegation on behalf of the Chairman appreciated the elders for standing by the truth and promised to work closely with them to achieve the long-term aspiration of the people of Kwara North and advance the course for inclusivity in Kwara politics and governance. This collaboration, he noted, would strengthen the relationship between Kwara North, Kwara Central and Kwara South.

The Coordinator of the Concerned Elders Forum, Alhaji Alamoyo for his part, reaffirmed their commitment to zoning the governorship ticket to Kwara North in 2027, citing equity and fairness as key reasons. He said “in the build up to 2023 gubernatorial elections, the Elders forum rallied support for the Kwara Central son who is completing his second term, and the people of Kwara North cooperated with overwhelming support across their five local governments.

“it is now necessary to return the favor and loyalty of the people of Kwara North, by supporting Kwara North’s aspiration to produce the next Governor of Kwara state in 2027”, he noted.

Alhaji Alamoyo also urged the people of Kwara North not to be swayed by divisive rhetoric emanating from some quarters, assuring them that the elders’ forum will advance this just course before the Governor as a leader of the party in the state, including other well-meaning leaders of Kwara Central, expressing optimism that the majority of Kwara Central leaders will support this endeavor, acknowledging that Kwara North has fulfilled righteousness to Kwara Central overtime.
