Kwara Governor’s aide invites Saraki on project tour

Senior Special Assistant to Kwara Governor on Communication, Ibraheem Abdullateef, has invited former Senate President Bukola Saraki on a tour of the projects of the current administration in the state.

Abdullateef said it would be lovely to show the former Governor the depth of change Kwara has witnessed across sectors since the change of leadership in 2019.

The Kwara Governor’s aide made the statement in a new article he released on Monday titled, ‘A new week, same old Kwara PDP’.

Abdullateef also extended the invitation for project tour to Saraki’s followers, noting it is part of his job to provide education for those willing to learn.

“If Sarakites truly have no eyes or ears to understand the import of the progress Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has made in Kwara, I offer a tour guide with my team, first in their own very local government, before coming to the capital. It is part of my job to provide education for those willing to learn,” he said.

“This offer is also valid for Mr Bukola Saraki on his next visit to the state. It would be lovely to show the elder statesman the depth of change Kwara has witnessed across sectors since changing leadership in 2019.”

Kwara under Governor AbdulRazaq has witnessed the rise of two flyovers, a trendy Sugar Film Factory, one-of-its-kind Innovation Hub, the largest Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in North Central, a purpose-built Garment Factory, among others.

Apart from the massive renovation and rehabilitation of over 600 basic school structures, the iconic Kwara Hotel is also undergoing its major facelift since construction, just as the former civil service clinic is being upgraded to a state-of-the-art hospital.

Abdullateef noted that Governor AbdulRazaq’s performance has left everyone amazed in the state.

“I hear it on the street every time, we get mails and messages on social media. The most of all is the raw feedback on radio every time myself and other government officials are on air to give updates,” he said.

“I was still at Sobi FM on Saturday amidst the denial articles flying left and centre. The people were clear: Governor AbdulRazaq is making it a cake walk to lead the state for sustainable development for anyone whose priority is just that.

“Or how does one explain this massive transformation ongoing in the state in the health and education sectors, and other critical infrastructure?”

The SSA Communication to Governor AbdulRazaq came under serious attacks by publicists of Saraki after he described the former Senate President as an ‘opposition general without troops’.

Abdullateef, however, did not budge. He said his earlier position was right since Saraki’s followers could not prove any of his points wrong except attacking him.

He maintained that the PDP under Saraki as national leader is on a journey to the otherworld.

“The truth about the apparent death of the party hurts deeply. It hurts deeply that Kwara people have continued to reject their reign of terror and recidivism for peace and progress under Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq. Thrice have we tested it and thrice have we won both at the polls and the courtrooms.

“The festering naive thoughts that PDP won the last local council polls can be confirmed with a visit to all the council headquarters to see who holds sway today with the clear mandate of the people. With the baggage of corruption and diversion of public funds, PDP is no longer a vehicle for any serious politician to aspire for public office otherwise he will be dragged down to the abyss.”
