The Kwara State House of Assembly has congratulated the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, on the 29th anniversary of his ascension to the throne.

In a statement, the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, praised the Emir’s leadership, saying he has been a strong pillar of support for the assembly and the state government.

According to Danladi-Salihu, the Emir’s 29-year reign has been marked by significant development in the Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State. The assembly acknowledged his role in promoting peace, harmony, and development in the region. The statement also highlighted the Emir’s fatherly advice and royal leadership, which have contributed to the success of the current administration.   

“We, at the State House of Assembly, are proud and happy to be associated with the numerous successes that the Ilorin Emirate and indeed the entire Kwara State have recorded during the reign of His Royal Highness.

“We are delighted that the Ilorin Emirate and the entire Kwara State have continued to witness tremendous infrastructural development in the last 29 years of the reign of His Royal Highness.

“We pray Allah to grant our royal father more years on this planet, with good health and sound mind to enable him continue his good services to Ilorin, Kwara, Nigeria and humanity in general.
