The Chairman Board of Trustees of SOBI 101.9FM, Lukman Mustapha has described the death of Sheikh Ahmad Olayiwola Kamaldeen as a personal loss to him and the station, stressing that he was one of the strongest pillar of support.
This much was disclosed in a condolence message signed by his media team and made available to newsmen in Ilorin, over the weekend, describing the dead as irreplaceable.
Mustapha, popularly called Rebirth Captain described the deceased who was his principal as a secondary school student at Government Secondary School, Ilorin described him as “one of the most approachable officer of the School, always willing to teach, mentor, assist and discipline as appropriate.
“I commiserate with the Emir of Ilorin, IEDPU, GSS family and indeed the entire Adabiyyah movement worldwide over the painful exit of the scion of Sheikh Kamaldeen Al-Adabby – one of the best Islamic cleric to ever come out of Ilorin Emirate.
“Sheikh Ahmad Kamaldeen was my principal in GSS, Ilorin whom I developed a strong relationship with right from my form 2 when I single handedly and uncharacteristically approached for transfer of my brother, Kayode Mustapha to GSS Ilorin from IGS, which materialised.
“He attended the commissioning of Sobi FM and told me its one of the greatest things to happen to Ilorin and I should please ensure it is used for the propagation of the State’s culture, tradition and norms”, he added
