Kano born Multi-billionaire Businessman, Rabiu Samad is to invest nothing less than #1b in the Federal Government owned University of Ilorin, Kwara State.
This much was disclosed by the Institution’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sulyman Age while felicitating with the President BUA group on the occasion of his 61st birthday yesterday, describing him as an outstanding business magnate, a phenomenal philanthropist and illustrious statesman of a rare value, who has impacted greatly on the all-round development of the country.
Prof. Abdulkareem specifically paid glowing tributes to Alhaji Rabiu for the decision of his organisation, the BUA Group, to invest N1 billion on the infrastructural development of the University of Ilorin, saying that the institution has never had it so good from a private organisation since its establishment about five decades ago.
The Vice-Chancellor said, “On behalf of the Council, Senate, management, staff, and students of the nation’s most sought-after University, may I join your numerous friends, associates, and beneficiaries of your vast philanthropic gestures in wishing you an excitingly remarkable and positively memorable 61st birthday”.
The statement wished Alhaji Rabiu many happy returns of the day in continuous sound health, greater wisdom, more commercial successes, and many more eventful years in the services of Allah and humanity.
