Just Events Online drags Saliu Mustapha’s aide over derogatory statement

A frontline online media in Kwara State, Just Event Online has asked Mallam Saliu Mustapha’s aide, Barrister Abdulkareem Alabi to retract his statement made to the media house.

This came after he described the media’s work as “Brainless” after a story published over the court order which granted the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) Kwara Central Senatorial Candidate, Aiyelabegan Kayode Abdul to inspect, scan and make Photocopies of the ballot papers and other electoral materials used at the NASS Election conducted on 25th February 2023, and enable the Applicant to prosecute his petition against the Respondent, the Senator-Elect, Mallam Saliu Mustapha

Abdul Kareem made the statement in a WhatsApp group, Kwara Commission on Wednesday.

S.O. Abdulareem Esq of the Tribunal gave the order on Wednesday, 29th March 2023 in Ilorin, the State capital

Just Event Online gathered that the Senator-elect evaded court service six times which prompted the order.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had earlier declared Saliu Mustapha the winner of the Kwara Central Senatorial election.

Aiyelabegan rejected the results of the election and vowed to challenge the outcome of the poll in court. He also called for the cancellation of the NASS election.

The online media expressed disappointment that despite being a legal practitioner and aide to a Lawmaker elect, he still dares to challenge the media profession.

“It however restated that Abdulkareem withdraw his statement or be charged further.”
