Ilorin born Solar Engineer doles out #.5m worth of goods on 60th birthday

An Ilorin born Solar Engineer and fabricator, Engr. Tunde Salihu earlier today doles out goods and relief materials worth #500,000 to selected motherless babies home in Ilorin earlier today, as part of activities marking his 60th birthday anniversary.

It would be recalled, the celebrant, who doubles as the Chief Executive Officer of Shaybiz Engineering coy, which specialises in powering communities off the National grid through solar power.

The company, owners of the 21.6kw solar power system in Lajolo and 16.8kw solar system in Famole, Ilroin East and Ifelodun local government of areas of the State.

Speaking on his choice of celebration to mark his Diamond Jubilee, Engr. Salihu said “This is an opportunity to give back to the society in my own little way, so as part of activities marking my 60th birthday, I reached out to friends and acquaintances and what we’re distributing today, is a result of our collaborative efforts.

“Also, as I’ve always done, I’ll be dedicating more time to teaching and training young electrical engineers, to be innovators, fabricators and employers of labor” stressed.

Some of the benefiting institutions includes; WAAFA Children Home, Kwara State Children Reception Center and the Kwara State School of Special Needs, all located in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

The first of it’s kind, 60kVA solar powered rice mill at Omupo already operational since December 2022, will be commissioned soon

As part of activities to mark his 60th birthday, Engr Tunde Salihu Yusuf on Wednesday visited three orphanage homes in Ilorin, the Kwara State Capital, where he donated foodstuff and other relief materials.

In his remark, Vice Principal Academics Kwara State School of Special Needs, Ayanwale Peter appreciated the celebrant for his kind gesture.

He urged other affluent people in the society to emulate such good cause in order to make the world a better place.
