Two months after wife of popular Ilorin based Islamic musician – Alhaji Ibrahim Labaika, Hajia Sidiqot Labaika condensed sunset political appointments by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, her husband has joined the list of sunset appointees with his appointment as Special Assistant as Special Assistant, Artiste to the Governor.

However, in a letter dated 6thJanuary, 2023 with reference number S/ECA/25/S.I/XXXII/713, the Secretary to the State Government said the Governor has approved Labaika’s appointment as Special Assistant, Artiste.

“I am pleased to convey the approval of His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazag, the Executive Governor of Kwara State on your appointment as Special Assistant, Artiste with effect from 6* January, 2023”, the letter reads.

“This appointment is based on the excellent report of your loyalty, steadfastness and favourable disposition to the course of this administration. It is my expectation that you will bring all these sterling qualities to bear on your assignment in a way that this administration’s desire to take Kwara State to a greater height will be realized.

“Furthermore, the appointment is a public trust. Therefore, it is hoped that you will justify the confidence reposed in you in the discharge of your responsibilities. In addition to the aforementioned, you should also make sure that you are guided by the rules and regulations of your new office and strictly adhere to the extant laws of the Office.

“While congratulating you on your new appointment, you are kindly requested to indicate your acceptance of this appointment in writing to this office within Forty-Eight (48) hours of receipt of this letter, please”, the letter added.
