Gbenga Power holds dedication prayer for Gov. AbdulRazaq

Hon. Gbenga Oyekunle Power has organised a dedication prayer for the success of the second term tenure of Gov. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.

The prayer which was held in Igbaja, Ifelodun LG had in attendance scores of party faithfuls drawn from across the State.

Meanwhile, Gov. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has charged members of the All Progressives Congress in Kwara State to eschew divisive politics, stressing that there can never be development without unity.

Gov. Abdulrazaq made this plea today in Igbaja, Ifelodun LG while commissioning the party’s new Secretariat for Igbaja ward 1.

Gov. Abdulrazaq who was represented by Alh. Moshood Alaka said “I beseech all and sundry to bury their differences and work harmoniously, eschew divisive rhetorics within the party, it is only with unity we can attract dividends of democracy and development.

“I am a Governor for all I’ll ensure all diverse interests are fully taken cared of in all government policies formulation and implementation” he added.

Speaking on his rationale for donating a new secretariat to the party, Hon. Gbenga Power Oyekunle said “The former secretariat was not befitting of our status, Igbaja ward 1 is a prominent ward in the scheme of things, the Governor gave us no fewer than 7 choice appointments in his first tenure, yet we couldn’t have a befitting secretariat.

“In support of the party and appreciation of the Governor for showing uncommon love for Igbaja, I have chosen to donate this 4 bedroom flat that’ll be fully equipped with office chairs, furniture and computers” he added.

When asked on the rumoured crisis in the ward, he said “APC is one indivisible body in Igbaja under the Chairmanship of Alh. Abdulraheem Arije, we’re in this party basically for the benefit of our town, its people and humanity at large, so all interest can cohabit peacefully without rancour if truly there are no other motive other than the general good” he added.

Appreciating the donor on behalf of the party, Alh. Abdullateef Quadri Oko-Ode said “On behalf of the leader of the party, Gov. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, the State Chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi and indeed all members of the party, we appreciate Hon. Gbenga Power for this laudable gesture, it’s coming at a time the party is in dire need of a befitting and more spacious secretariat. I enjoin all others to take a cue.

“I also want to use this medium to allay rumours of division within the party in Igbaja, we’re one big family, whatever minor issues we might have is a family matter, we’ll settle them within the family and everybody will come out happy” he stressed.
