Ex-NAKSS Senate President declares for Kwara Assembly

A former Senate President of the National Association of Kwara State Student (NAKSS) Mumeen Habib popularly known as Medulla has thrown his hat into the Kwara State House of Assembly seat for the Ilorin North-West.

The Agbaji born Student activist turned politician who made his intention public via a letter of intent addressed to Agbaji joint zone of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The letter reads “I am writing with deep sense of humility to bring to your notice that I Comrade Mumeen Habeeb Olalekan (MENDULA) After a thorough consultation with different Party Stakeholders, Community Leaders, Traders, Artisan, Youths, Students’ bodis and the like minds. We believe it is the right time to pilot the affairs of our constituency for effective legislative representation.

“Further more, It is our duties to participate in the democratic process in order to lift the conditions of our people to a better height. I am using this medium to declare my intention to contest for the Position of Kwara State House of Assembly Member; Ilorin North-West (Ajikobi/Alanamu constituency) in the forth coming 2023 general elections.

“Consequently, I will love to seek for your support, prayers, commitment and dedication from our Joint Zonal Party Chairmen, Stakeholders, Women, and Youths of our great Zone (Agbaji) under the great People Democratic Party (PDP).

” Abraham Lincoln said and I quote “Election belongs to the people. It is their decisions, If they decide to turn their back on the fire and burn in their behinds then they will just have to sit on their blisters and remember the ballot is stronger than the bullets”. It is crystal clear to the progressive ones that youths are the future of our dear State and the Nation as a whole, and this is the time to establish and harmonize our dynasty for better Kwara.

“Also, we must challenge the status quo, especially the political inexperience of the current legislators. With your supports and prayers, all of this is possible and achievable. I totally agree that our dear state will be prosperous and free from the grip of the tyrannical bunch in power” he added.
