Ilorin Branch of The Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE) has honored Engr. Isiaka Bashir Olayiwola B.Eng, M.Eng, MNSE, MNICE, PMEC for his excellence in Engineering practice.
The event, held at Ilorin branch engineering center also featured public lecture, graduate and corporate membership induction ceremony.
The Ilorin born engineer, Isiaka was on Friday honored by the professional body at an elaborate event, well attended by senior engineers, academicians, political stakeholders, families and friends, among other notable personalities from within and outside Kwara state.
The State Branch Chairman, Engr. Taiwo Issa Olashehu FNSE, FNIMECH in his remarks said the honor bestowed on Engr. Isiaka Bashir Olayiwola and others was earned by his years of incredible practices to engineering practices and contributions to the development of the professional society.
The Awardee, Engr. Isiaka Bashir Olayiwola while speaking to the press said “My gratitude goes to Almighty Allah, and the professional body where I belong for finding me worthy of this honor. It is a charge for me to do much more for the development and progress of my dear profession and principally, Nigeria as a whole.
Olayiwola thanked family, friend and well wishers, especially Majority Leader of the 10th Assembly, Hon. Oba Mogaji Abdulkadir spiced up the event with their presence.
Others honored at the event include Engr Suleiman Bolakale Kawu Agaka, Director Public Procurement of REA, Abuja; Nigeria Society of Engineers’ Vice President – Engr. Sunday Joseph Adebayo, Engr Emmanuel Femi Abidoye, CEO, FEMTECH IT and Engr Mohammed Nasir Ayinde, CEO, NASDIS Engineering Ltd.
Others are Engr. Dr. O. A Ogunjinrin who is the Vice Chairman of NSE, Ilorin branch and Engr. Dr. Shuaib Oyewole, a research officer and zonal coordinator at the Nigeria Stored Products Research Institute (NSPRI).
