Danladi @ 39: Gov. AbdulRazaq, IEDPU, youth minister, others hail Kwara Speaker

…as friends, associates hold special prayer session, donate food items to orphanage

It was a rain of accolades on Friday May 31st, 2024, as the Speaker of the 9th and 10th Kwara state House of Assembly and Chairman of the APC Speakers’ Conference, Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu clocks 39.

Top among the well wishers, is Kwara state Governor and Nigeria Governors Forum Chairman, Mall. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, who commended the seasoned  legislator for his patriotic leadership of the House and handling of legislative business and all issues of public interests.

Also, the Ilorin Emirate Descendant Progressive Union (IEDPU), in a press statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Mall. Nurudeen Ibrahim, described the Speaker as a hardworking, humble and outstanding parliamentarian who deserves to be celebrated.

The umbrella body of Ilorin Emirate indigenes urged Danladi-Salihu to continue to serve the people of the state and humanity with patriotism and selflessness, saying that the sky would be his starting point.

Other well wishers includes the Minister of State for Youths Development, Hon. Ayodele Olawande, National Assembly members from Kwara state, political office holders, party chieftains, netizens among others, who all hailed the Speaker’s humility, bridge building ability and sense of purpose.

The day was also marked by a special prayer session for the celebrant in absentia, at the speaker’s lodge mosque, Ilorin. The committee of friends equally donated food items to orphanage as part of the celebration.

The events were aimed to honor Danladi’s commitment to public service and his dedication to the welfare of the people. The prayer session was led by Alfa Taiye and Kehinde Agbaji and Imam Ajibesin, who prayed for Danladi’s continued wisdom, strength, and guidance in his leadership role.

The procession also prayed fervently for Kwara state Governor AbdulRazaq’s continued success and Allah’s guidance to  sustainably drive the wheel of progress of the state.

Following the prayer session, the group visited an orphanage, where they donated food items and spent time with the children. The event was a testament to Danladi’s impact on the community and his friends’ and associates’ appreciation for his values.

The team, led by a former Commissioner for youths and Adviser to Gov. AbdulRazaq on girl child, Ms. Joana Kolo said the gesture was a reflection of the charitable attributes of the celebrant.

Kolo said “we have come with this token in appreciation and celebration of our brother, for God to grant his heart desires, long life and prosperity. We care for these innocent souls and we have faith in God to answer prayers made by them in happy moods.”

The officer in charge of the orphanage, Mrs. Yusuf, on behalf of the children, appreciate the gesture and prayed for the Speaker to have long life and continued prosperity. The children also prayed for continued success of the Speaker and Kwara state Governor.
