Covid 19: Kwara bars schools from demanding 3rd term fees

Kwara State Government has canceled 3rd term for all schools in the State, instructing them to resume for the new 2020/2021 session.

This much was disclosed by Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Hajia Fatimah Bisola Ahmed during a stakeholders meeting held in ilorin yesterday (Friday).

Ahmed , at the meeting stressed that no school under any disguise should collect third term fees. She suggested that rather, schools should organize revision classes and placement examination within two weeks of resumption.

Represented by the Director, Quality Assurance Bureau, Mrs Comfort Abioye, the Commissioner disclosed that Basic Education Certificate Examination ( BECE) will start on Tuesday 6th, October, 2020 while Common Entrance will hold on 17th October, 2020.

Hajia Ahmed enjoined all schools to comply with the Covid-19 guidelines in order to flatten the curve of the pandemic and avoid contraction among students.
