Confusion has continued to trail the dissolution of the Kwara State Executive Council comprising of Commissioners and Special Advisers, as some of the affected appointees are yet to be officially communicated, Fresh Insight investigation has revealed.
It would be recalled Fresh Insight had exclusively broken the new of the cabinet dissolution, 4 hours before officially confirmation via a press release signed by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye announcing the sacking of the cabinet.
However, investigation by Fresh Insight has revealed that no fewer than 3 of the affected cabinet members (Special Advisers) were yet to receive letter of disengagement, as at this morning, almost 30 hours after the press release announcing there disengagement.
Speaking with Fresh Insight under condition of anonymity, the Special Advisers denies knowledge of their sack, stressing that they’re yet to receive any letter to that effect.
“As I am speaking with you now, I am yet to receive any letter of disengagement, so I don’t believe the sack affects we Special Advisers, because I know for a fact all the affected commissioners had since received their letters, even before official announcement, so I assume there was a mixup in the communication made available to the public” one of the affected Special Advisers said.
However, contrary to the claim of the Special Adviser, the Governor’s CPS reiterated the disengagement of the Special Advisers on radio (Midland FM and SOBI FM), that “All cabinet members including the Special Advisers were affected in the dissolution” stressing that only the Secretary to the Government is exempted.
