Christmas: Kwara Speaker felicitates with Christians, urges COVID-19 consciousness

Speaker, Kwara state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi Salihu has felicitated with the Christian faithful in the State over the Divine grace of witnessing another Christmas celebration.

In a statement issued by Special Assistant, Media to the Speaker, Ibrahim Sheriff, the Lawmaker congratulates Christians and call on all Kwarans to reflect on the lessons of the season and allow same to reflect in their daily lives.

“On behalf of the 9th Kwara state House of Assembly, I wish our Christian brothers and sisters a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year 2021.

“I seize this opportunity to urge us all to reflect on the lessons of peace, sacrifice, devotion and submission to our Creator that comes with Christmas festivity in our daily lives”, Danladi-Salihu said.

The Speaker also implored Kwarans to be conscious of the reality of the Corona virus pandemic and celebrate with restraints so that we can all live to celebrate many more Christmas. He also charged the populace on strict adherence to all COVID-19 safety protocols.
