The dissolved Bashir Bolarinwa led State Working Committee of the Kwara State All Progressives Congress (APC) have been sworn-in as the caretaker committee to pilot the affairs of the party for the next 6 months.
The inauguration of the Chairmen which held at the APC National secretariat Abuja this morning had Hon. Bashir Bolarinwa sworn-in with his colleagues from other States of the federation, who will in turn go and swear-in their other excos in their respective States.
Meanwhile, party leaders loyal to the Governor and leader of the party in the State, Mal. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has kicked against the swearing-in of Bolarinwa by the Buni led caretaker committee, while also condemning the attempt to drag in the Governor into the crisis.
This much was disclosed at a press conference addressed by the AA group at the party secretariat this morning, which had in attendance party leaders loyal to Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq which include Rev. Bunmi Olusona, Sen. Bisi Oyewo, Sen. Makanjuola Ajadi, Alh. Yinka Aluko, Hon. Folaranmi Aro among others.
“We condemn in strong terms the deliberate dragging of the State’s party leader Gov. Abdulrazaq,
“The members who should know are intentionally misinforming the public to please their Abuja paymasters.
“The dissolved excos were never elected, they were rather imposed and we’re resist the attempt to take us to the dark age which we said otoge to.
“We therefore affirm that the dissolved exco was a caretaker and thereby demand the constitution of a new set to be appointed as caretaker to bring peace back to the party” they demanded.
