Tributes have continued to pour in for the deceased Chief of Staff to Kwara State Governor, Alh. Adisa Login, who passed on this evening due to covid 19 infection.
Leading the pack is President Muhammadu Buhari who expressed shock, describing the death as sad and unfortunate.
According the release signed by Garba Sheu he said“I just received the sad and unfortunate news on death of Alhaji Logun, a successful industrialist and consummate public intellectual. He was a passionate member of our party, APC, who worked for its progress at state and national levels.
“His death comes at a time his services were greatly needed by the party and government as part of our rebuilding efforts.’’
Also, Mallam Lukman Mustapha the Chairman Board of trustees of SOBI 101.9FM, who through a condolence message he personally signed described the deceased as one of ilorin’s foremost industrialists, adding that he was a firm believer in eradicating poverty and unemployment through setting up of industries
It reads “I grew up to know Alh. Logun as one of ilorin’s foremost industrialist, his now defunct Sabella drink which one can liken to Chivita of today endeared him to me.
“We grew close afterwards and we maintained a father and son relationship until he passed. When he heard about our setting up of SOBI FM in Ilorin, he was elated, placed a call through to me and prayed for me, not forgetting that he personally graced the official commissioning of the station 3 years ago” he added
Speaking in the same vein, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Salihu Danladi in a statement made available to newsmen by his Special Assistant, Media, Ibrahim Sheriff, described the late Chief of Staff as a Kwaran who gave his all to the service of the State and its people, until his last breath.
“Alh. Logun was a committed Kwaran, who gave his all to the service of our dear State until his last breath. His death is indeed a big blow on the government and people of Kwara state, as he departs this sinful world at a time his wealth of experience and expertise is required in moving the State forward”
Danladi-Salihu however prayed for repose of the deceased, and for Allah to give the government of Kwara state, family, friends and entirety of Kwarans fortitude to bear the irredeemable loss.
Also, Amb. AbdulFatai Seriki Gambari while condoling with the government and family of the deceased enjoined Kwarans to see the death as a testament to the fact that covid 19 is real
“I am saddened to receive the news of the passing of Honorable chief of staff to the Kwara state governor, Mr Adisa Logun.
I wish to convey my personal heartfelt sympathy to his Excellency, the governor of Kwara state, and to all the progressives in the Kwara as a whole.
“Let me also seize this opportunity to urge Kwarans to be more responsible, as the danger of the virus is becoming more enduring and evident by the day. We all have a responsibility to help ourselves and others by following the guidelines laid down by experts” he submitted
The Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress and Peoples Democratic Party through a separate message signed by their Chairman Hon. Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa and Hon. Kola Shittu respectively expressed shock over the demise, stressing that his wealth of experience will be missed.
