A grassroots politician and erstwhile stalwart of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara state, Prince Ayo Abegunde has declared his intention to contest the Irepodun State Constituency seat at the Kwara state House of Assembly in the upcoming 2023 general elections.
Abegunde, according to declaratory statement signed by him and made available to newsmen said “I wish to inform you of my desire to throw my hat in the ring by offering myself for service through the instrumentality of the Kwara State House of Assembly under the platform of the *Social Democratic Party (SDP).*
“As the most important organ of Government, the legislature can guide other organs of Government on the part of progress and development for the good of our people.
“I am of the firm conviction that l posses the prerequisite qualifications, experience and temperament to chat a new legislative direction for our people”, he added.
Abegunde noted that “Kwara is forlorn and destitute and requires redemption. I offer myself as a bastion of service to the good people of Irepodun State Constituency.”
He reiterated that party loyalty is a necessary condition for Party cohesion and seamless governance that will ensure qualitative delivery of democratic dividends to our people and as such, he can be trusted as an unrepentant adherent.
Abegunde urged Party faithfuls to covet their prayers and support in the days ahead as he aspires to win the party’s ticket.
