Moro LG Chair, Omotayo Holds Maiden Security Council Meeting

Hajiya Mariam Abdulwasiu Omotayo, Chairperson of Moro Local Government, held a security council meeting today. The meeting, which lasted for about two hours, had in attendance traditional rulers, security chiefs, community leaders, and religious leaders.

Hajiya Mariam appreciated all the stakeholders for their efforts in maintaining peace and orderliness across Moro Local Government. She also charged the traditional rulers and community leaders to be vigilant, especially on the influx of criminals into their domains.

“Our security agencies and the local vigilantes have been doing a good job, I appreciate you all for your efforts and by the grace of God, I will do everything possible to assist you in combating crime and ensure absolute peace across Moro local government,” she said.

Hajiya Mariam further emphasized, “Similarly, I want to urge our traditional and community leaders here present to be very vigilant and take note of the influx of bad people into your respective communities, have detailed information about every person or group of people living in your communities and report any suspicious moves to the security agencies.”

During the meeting, the chairperson received security reports from all the security agencies and local vigilantes. She also appreciated them for their efforts in combating all kinds of crime.

The security agencies in attendance included The Nigerian Police, Department of State Security Services (DSS), Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC),  Nigeria Immigration Services, Nigeria Correctional Service, Federal Road Safety Corps and Local Vigilantes
