2023: Kwara Online Media Influencer, ‘Aiyekooto’ Dumps APC

Following the gale of defections rocking the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kwara State, Kwara-based leading media influencer and Online practitioner, Sulaiman Abdulwaheed Olamilekan popularly known as ‘Kwara Aiyekooto’, who was until his resignation, the Chief Executive Officer and Publisher of the Elites Watch Media Group, has expressed his intent to dump the ruling party for People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

According to him, the resolution to resign his membership of the APC became a necessity in order to allow him take part in active politics during the 2023 electioneering season as a member of PDP, referring to the party as a ‘party for everyone’.

Abdulwaheed said the party is ready to take the mantle of leadership from the ineffective and ungrateful ruling APC in Kwara State.

Sulaiman further disclosed that he understands that his decision to further advance his career in the political sphere of Kwara State is a tough reality which is solely driven by the passion and quest for a new course in societal politics geared towards the principle of accountability and good governance to the people at all times.

He, however, noted that he is bold to say that his decision is not in any way self-serving but a call to uphold one of the tenets of sustainable democracy.

The top media personality, thereby, gave assurance of his commitment to social responsibility as a Journalist which mandated him to stand by the people and make their voice count at all times.

Recall that barely few days ago, Sulaiman had stepped down as Publisher of a Kwara-based Online Media and Public Relations Organization, The Elites Watch Media Group in pursuit of his political aspiration.
