Prof. Wale Sulaiman the immediate past Special Adviser, Health to the Kwara State Governor has publicly aligned with the Hon. Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa led faction of the All Progressives Congress in the State, Fresh Insight can report.
It would be recalled globally renowned Ajase-ipo born Professor, who is a Neurosurgeon Physician, had his resignation announced through a press release the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye dated April 19th, 2020.
According to the release he resigned his appointment to “pursue his long-time passion of maximising his contacts in the global health and non-health sectors to deepen interaction with the Nigerian diaspora and attract investments.

Ostensibly unsatisfied with the terse release by Ajakaye, Prof. Sulaiman barely 24hours after, on April 20th, 2020 via a release he personally signed, gave more insight into the rationale for his resignation amidst rumour of interference in his work, which didn’t go down well with him.
His press release among other things reads “I have resigned my position as Special Adviser on Health Matters to Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State after serving for one year. We accomplished a great deal in that time, and set in motion a roadmap for better healthcare in Kwara state. I have developed policy documents and strategies for the government which will position Kwara State as one of the States in Nigeria with better healthcare if fully executed.
” My passion in life is to create opportunities where there are none, and to give hope to the underprivileged using my skills, expertise, and professional network. I had hoped that I could accomplish these same goals as a Public Servant, but came to the realization that I will be more effective and productive out of government.
“I remain committed to the efforts and aspirations of Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s administration to emancipate Kwarans. I will continue to support the much-needed change and transformation in Kwara State through philanthropic efforts, economic and social empowerment, as well as the promotion of investment opportunities and partnerships with Kwarans in Diaspora” he added.

Even with his clarifications and assurance of no friction between him and the government, recent events are proving otherwise, as Fresh Insight findings confirmed that Professor Sulaiman had since leaving office been identifying with the BOB faction of the party in his Ajase-ipo hometown and Irepodun local government ever since.
Confirming the rumours yesterday, Prof. Wale Sulaiman who was one of the attendees at the Ramadan lecture and iftar hosted for members of the party loyal to the BOB leadership in the Chairman’s GRA home Ilorin was the cynosure of all eyes.
